[Chrysler300] 413 block

Hi Group

I just got some bad news from my mechanic, after he road tested my car. It started leaking antifreeze from the block. It appears that when the engine was rebuilt it had a hair line crack and it was welded to fix the problem. The weld did not hold and the block is stressed. My mechanic put everything together and now I have this problem. Two questions, do you think he can get the block re welded or the only solution is a new block. I am in a dilemma now. I have over 18,000 in this project and already over what I budget to spend. I would appreciate any help in this situation. If I need a new block can anyone give me any suggestions.
