Ron and club,

Interesting find.  I met a guy (who many of you may know) who owns one of
the '58 DeSoto Adventurer Fuel Injection cars.  His is a convertible and is
restored to concours specs.  It had been recalled by Chrysler shortly after
it was delivered to the original owner and converted to a carb car.  His car
is highly documented and has been in several magazines over the last three
or so years.  He is Tom White (He might be a member here).  He was able to
track down the original fuel injection system and convert the car BACK to
EFI.  I met Tom at the Loudon NH show in May, it seems to me that he is an
expert in identifying these cars and has an intimate understanding of how
these systems work (I know nothing other then the system being INCREDIBLY
complicated).  He has hundreds of pages of manuals and hand written notes on
all aspects of the system.

Tom is a top notch restorer and as I indicated above, an expert on the early
EFI systems that Chrysler used.  I don't know if anyone can identify the
owner of the EFI letter car, but if you could...suggest Tom White as a great
contact....this one is worth restoring!

I guess the jury is out until the paperwork comes back from Chrysler. Or

The car is about three hours from Lake Tahoe. Anyone up for a road trip ?
