[Chrysler300] 15" wheels

Doug,

In the 300G Service Bulletin, it shows the tire size of 8.00 X 15 as
standard equipment. Then, it says; "For Service Procedures, refer to Group
22 in the 1961 Chrysler and Imperial Service Manual Supplement." So, I go
to the 1961 Supplement, group 22, and see only the Imperial (RY-1) with 15"
specs. Wheel size of 15 x 6L, stud size of 9/16" -18, tire size of 8.20 x
15 (G is 8.00 x 15), 5 wheel nuts. That's all I can get from my manuals. I
hope this helps you.

Tony

Tony, could you look up the G wheel designation in your 1961 service and
repair manual to see if it is the same as for my H (15x6 K). I took the
spare from my H to Stockton Wheel yesterday and Frank thought that it was a
15x5.5 wheel. I will pull a wheel tonight and check to make sure that my
spare tire is not mounted on a non H wheel and then get back in touch with
Frank. Frank also wanted to know if our drums have the stud on them that
would require a special hole in the new wheel centers. Doug Warrener
