[Chrysler300] Air Conditioning Help Needed!!!

Hi Tom,

I would suggest having your system checked out first by a licensed air
conditioning shop - what makes you think the compressor went bad?

Should the compressor have bitten the dust, however, removing it is not a
particularly hard task - just take apart the fittings after the system has
been evacuated; the compressor clutch will have to be removed to gain
access to the bolts that attach compressor to its bracket . A special,
large bolt is needed for that.

You are lucky to be in Florida - Classic Auto Air is there too, and is a
very reputable shop;

Classic Auto Air, 2020 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL., 33606. 813-251-2356.
813-251-4994.

When reinstalling the compressor, you may want to consider using a
reconditionned receiver-dryer at the same time. The system will then have
to be evacuated, put under vacuum to make sure there are no leaks, and
recharged

Depending on your mechanical abilities, and on how much equipment you have,
you may want to leave this task up to a reputable a/c shop
