Ah, yes.

I remember a friend with a 59 Catalina ran a full second faster in one run 
than he ever did before or since.  Guess which one he lived by for ever more.

I did all my strip racing before the tree was introduced.  Was also running a 
57 Ford at the time.  No trophies with that one, but did make it past the 
Chevs, Plymouths, etc. once and was beaten in the trophy run by another 57 Ford.  
The Chevy guys who were taunting me left before that run.  Trophies came 
later with a 60 Fury.

Sure do miss the flag man!
