I averaged just over 17 mpg from San Jose area to Lake Tahoe(Annual Meet-500 
plus miles in total) and back home this past August.  This included all 
miles driving around Tahoe during the meet.

Most freeway miles were at 75 to 85 mph, this is where the car really finds 
its groove since I replaced the stock 3.54 rear gear with a 2.92(best 
improvement that I ever made to the car--except for replacing the 
Powerflight with a Torqueflight,,oh, oh, did I say that?).
