Hi 300 Club List, I need some help with my 61 300 G Hardtop, Non air conditioned. 1. The original fan clutch "spins too freely". Not enough resistance in the fan clutch. I would like to keep the original unit that came with the car. Can this original unit be "rebuilt" and who do I contact that can do the rebuild? 2. In the interior of the G I need help with the consul aluminum edge trim. There are two edge pieces on the front, two edge pieces on the rear, and the two short connector pieces in the middle. These edge trim pieces are made of aluminum. Mine are quite scratched and will not look good with a new interior. What can be done with these pieces to make them look better? Will the scratches need to be "sanded out", polished, plated or anodized? Are there people that do aluminum Trim restoration that club members would recommend? Or has someone reproduced these aluminum edge pieces? I would rather use my original ones. Last summer John Characky from Hibbing (300 guy) helped me fire up the rebuilt 413 G! Sounds good and feels strong. When the weather warms up the interior will go in. Can't wait to get the 300 G on the road!!!!!!!
