Re: [Chrysler300] Cal. Car owners QUestion

Chrysler didn't install any factory PCV systems until the 1961 model year, and those were open systems, not closed. That installation is a retrofit closed system. It avoids the crankcase fumes that tend to leave an odor that can be smelled under idling conditions or with the heater on. I don't think California ever required a PCV retrofit on a 1957 vehicle, at least my 1957 300C doesn't have one and I have had it for what must be close to 20 years! Those unrepentant smog bureaucrats will never get their hands on my collector cars!
