Thanks for all the input guys.....the console was tested and jumpered and the wiring is fine. The culprit was a 7.5 amp in line fuse tucked hard inside lower lip of the dash. Times were when I (WE) could access tight spots with no ouch problems. So, this fuse enables the door jamb operation for all interior lights, and allows the dimmer portion of the light switch to work! happy in VA......Dave --------------------------------- Don't get soaked.
