[Chrysler300] Trailer towing

             Hello Group,

I have decided to purchase a new tow vehicle to
replace my "95 Dodge dually. I tow a fifth wheel trailer (yes-I tow my
cars. I haven't joined the ranks of the many road warriors in the club).
I would like to purchase a Dodge short bed crew cab and have checked out
the clearances between the tow vehicle and the corners of the trailer.
Using a Pullrite 24K sliding hookup, all seems fine (a little close, but
fine) The question is does anyone tow with a 140" wheelbase truck as
opposed to a 160" wheelbase? What are the characteristics of towing with
a short wheelbase as opposed to the longer one? I have towed with the
longer one for the past 12 years and have never felt that the trailer
was steering the truck or the truck couldn't handle the trailer at
highway speeds. Thanks for your input.
