My experience has been that a dual rear wheel vehicle in the weight class you mention was more stable hauling a good sized goose neck than a similar GVWR single rear wheel. Longer wheelbase truck will ride better and not turn as sharp as short box truck. Everything is a trade as to what is most important to person driving truck but to turn fifth wheel tight, short box truck will require what I think is an unnecessarily expensive and elaborate hitch package and will not be as nice going down the road.
