We used a motorcycle oil filter gasket for the tank/sending unit seal on my C and it has been leak free for almost 4 years.  ROB KERN

  My '55 C-300 has an O-ring between tank and sending unit, but I have not
  been able to find the correct one. Anyone have any guidance on
  OD/ID/material/source? Plumbing/water O-rings don't hold up to CA-soline
