there is a spring washer inside thw trunk that has a slot. It is this washer 
that secures the lock cyl to the panel. you should be able to isert a screw 
driver up through the lic plate light hole once the lite is removed and 
either push the washer, which should have a lip bent into it, left, right , 
or up, depending on which way it is angled or pull it down, if need be , 
with a needle nose pliers. If all els fails, you mak have to break into the 
trunk by rmoving the rear seats and partition panel between them.

It's a PITA either way!!
