Jean and All, Nothing fits or works as well as the original windshield gaskets. They are not that difficult to remove, and unless they are dry rotted, I would clean and re-use them. A hard top car is plenty strong enough to go on a rotisserie without extra bracing, unless your floors and rockers are very rusty. The body doesn't really weigh all that much without the sub-frame and all the interior parts. 300ly, Don Verity ----- Original Message ----- From: Jean Debos To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, October 15, 2007 4:34 AM Subject: RE: [Chrysler300] 2 questions Hello group, I am in the (long) process of restoring a 1962 H.( http://johnneed.romandie.com <http://johnneed.romandie.com/> ) car is almost completely stripped. A good friend of mine is lending me his rotisserie and I have the following questions: 1. I need to remove both windshields. Has anyone used, with success, Gary Goers' weatherstrips? I'd rather put new weatherstrips if possible so I can cut the original ones to ease the removal of front and back windshield. 2. As you know the car is a unibody construction (no chassis). Is it strong enough to go on the rotisserie with doors removed? Should I weld a bracket in the door opening to strengthen it? Thank you for help, cheers Jean [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/ Yahoo!
