Hi Group, I have a non-300 related question. I have a 1981 dodge diplomat with a 225 slant six in it. It only has 62,000 original miles on it. What has happened is I had to put rear brakes and wheel cylinders in it. Everything was going fine until it came time to bleed the brakes. My "helper" pushed the pedal to the floor and messed up my proportioning valve. Now when I start the car my brake light comes on and won't go out. I know my emergency brake is up all the way so that is not causing it. I also know about pulling off the wire on the proportioning valve turns out the light but I want to fix it the right way. I was told that there is a small ball in it that moves into position in order to stop brake fluid flow to the front or back and that it is what caused the light to go on. Does anyone know how to fix my valve to turn out the light? Any help is greatly appreciated.
