RE: [Chrysler300] C mufflers, rag style

I agree w/ Rich

Go to your qualified shop and have them made on the spot. Take your manual
for them to follow as close as possible and they have to make them fit.
I have heard to many bad stories to due mail order. Even if it cost more.

I think buying exhaust piping is like buying false teeth. You need to go
in
and have them fit. Mail order doesn't cut it.

Some chassis are very simple and almost anything will go in without
rattling. Most others are complex enough to require heating and beating.
My muffler guy says this is becoming a lost art as today's exhaust systems
  last so much longer.

Anyone have a source for original or reproduction hangers and clamps for
the
  1955 C-300?

  C-300'ly,

  Hi Larry;
Since you are of the Street Rod persuasion, just put on a couple of
California Turbos. Should give you a nice purr and not be tooooo loud.
Replace the rear resinators with straight pipes and if the sound is too
Rumbly, add in a couple small resinators. These are available as
  generic, by pipe diameter.
