There are several components of my interest in and enthusiasm for Chrysler 300 LetterCars and the most important is the personal linkage we have among a very diverse group holding some very rare hardware. The second most important is the hardware, itself. I learned early on not to love anything that could not love me back. Learning to tolerate the sometimes bizarre behavior of my fellow man came much later. Charley's opening diatribe was a little bizarre and out of place, but I read it and hoped that the public expiation made Charley feel better, even though it may have taken some of us down. I did thoroughly enjoy his authoritative piece on fuel injection and that contribution more than offset any disappointment I felt after reading the opening piece. There is way too much conflict in this country and world already. Let's rejoice in our common interest in LetterCars and make an extra effort to be tolerant of each other's foibles. Guideline: leave religion, sex and politics out of all written communications and most verbal ones. If the Editor's message had been posted here, it would have been deemed 'off-topic'. Hey, we all can write nostalgic stories about what it was like growing up in [insert name of city/town/village here]. And we can fill the next 100 issues of News Flite with these stories. But since this is the Chrysler 300 Club, we should keep this fact central to our writings. That's what I tune in for.
