Re: [Chrysler300] 300F panel alignment

Mike; Having worked on a number of 300s, I did come across this problem.
When removing the hoods, have found "spacers" under the foreward hood bolt,
between the hood and the hinge plate. When re-assembeling, could not get the
hood to go down properly. Then remembering the "spacers" (on each foreward
side) and installed them. The "spacers" were about 1/4" thick. The hood went
down properly. The "spacers" were square shaped with the bolt hole in the
center and were the width of the hinge plate.
And in this grey old head, also remember that I had seen some "factory fix"
sheet about this problem. But just where that is, is probably a 40 hour
hunt. Hope this helps with a little experimenting with different "spacers".
Do you remember those "spacers" when you took the hood off? Yeah, right,
just like me remembering! I try and write things down, but, damm, can I
remember where I put the note?
