Re: [Chrysler300] Re: 300Fs with alloy vents

Thanks George,
The squirters on this aluminum vent are mounted right on top of the vent with the hose connection underneath. They are round and chrome and sitting on top of the vent with a nut keeping them in place.
Do the normal "G" squirters come thru the vent slots like in my 62 300 ?

I just seem to like the look of the aluminum vent and want to see what it looks like on the black G. If nothing else it will make a topic of conversation for those that know their stuff.
Hopefully the "G" will be on the road this year. Dad's coming in from AZ and he said "We are going to get the "G" together. He should be here at the end of June. Not quite sure he knows how long he's staying, wish it was forever, but we have a lot to do. He says that he can not stand the heat back here. He's 79, was a mechanic at a Chrysler dealer and still quite knowlegable. While here, as well as getting the G together, he wil be rebuilding the spare tranny for the 62 convertible and the tranny for the 61 Newport.
He is also looking forward to going to Carlisle for the weekend.

Bye for now and Happy 300'ing

Charlie...before you do that, check the windshield "squirters" first. Fs and Gs are different and are not interchangable unless you change the "squirters". If you do, then you have '60 sqirters on a G. George Riehl

I have one of these aluminum vents and was thinking of putting it on my black "G". Just to be different.
Anyway, is it possible that an after market source made the aluminum vents ? I was cleaning up the aluminum vent just the other day and I noticed that there was no Chrysler part number on it.

Really. Well, I can usually be fooled by '59 parts. Now come to think of it my '59 Dodge is painted too! But if I had said '57-59 DeSoto and Chrysler, would I have still put my neck out too far? That is clearly what I should have stated.
