It's mounted on the left side of the push button assly up behind the dash 
and is actuated by the reverse button when its pushed in. you must remove 
the assly to service it. It's a little round affair about the size of a 
quarter or 50 cent piece, has 2 white wires sticking out of it and an arm 
that engages the "R" button tail when operated. Should be diagrams in the 
service manual.

This assly is a favorite place for mice when the car is in outside storage 
for any length of time, or rodent prone inside storage too for that matter, 
and it is not at all uncommon for these (switch and/or complete assly) to be 
corroded by mouse pee and droppings to the extent of being completely siezed 
up and inoperable.
 That must be what happened to the radio in my F because all I can ever tune 
in is a bunch of crap on it! Insert smiley face (here)!!
