But why go thru the hassle of working with those chemicals and potentially contaminating your fuel when you can purchase a new one for around five bucks ? Another issue I've run into is when you remove the glass bowl to change the filter, the filter is stuck to the gasket, which ends up tearing when you try to separate the two.
