If Chrysler's design logic stayed the same from 1955 to 1960, power to the horn relay and ignition come from the same source--the "IGN" connection of the ignition/starter switch. The lead goes from that "IGN" lug to the "I" lug on the horn relay and a wire from that lug goes to the coil (certainly first through a dropping resistor on the 12-Volt car). This means neither the horn nor the coil should receive power with the ignition/starter switch in the accessory position. -----Original Message----- From: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of jim_mikolajczyk Sent: Monday, June 08, 2009 5:42 PM To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Chrysler300] 300F electrical question. Please check your car. Is the horn supposed to work on an F when the key is in the accessory position? What about the guages? I have one in for repair that is sending juice to the coil when the key is in the accessory position. The horn relay ign. terminal comes from that same circuit. Thanks!
