I'd like to suggest that unless the colors of the 300 dash beige colors are already on the Club's website, that they be put there for all?internet connected?members to?access and also be put in the 300 Club News even though it pertains to other than the Letter car featured in that issue. Then ALL active members will have the information. What say you, Andy?
Only half of the membership?is on?the listserver and you know this question WILL come up again. Gil C. has taken the time to put this information "on line" and should not be wasted.

Rich and All: The "beige" instrument panel colors are not that 
straightforward. This is what I found:

C300: Saddle Beige, Ditzler (PPG) # 21181
300B: Sand Dune Beige, Ditzler # 21185
300C: Desert Beige, #21281 (Also an exterior color for 1957)
300D, 300E, and 300F: Saddle Beige, #21181

Kind of went full circle, didn't it? 

I am sure there no longer exists any plastic color master for the beige 
portion of the 300C steering wheel. However I think it can be assumed that 
Chrysler's intent was to match the beige colored components inside the car, 
and I would think the best way to do that would be to match the Desert 
Beige I/P color. As has been previously mentioned, even protected NOS wheels 
have shown the effects of time on the plastic color, and so cannot be 
relied on as masters.

Other '55 Chrysler models had widely varying interior colors and Chrysler

Tango Red or Black car.

It might be helpful to repeat the name and paint color code for the tan
portion of the '57 dashes and have DeSoto George shoot for that color for
'57 wheels. It would be helpful to me to know the '55 tan dash color and
whether it is different than the '57.

By the way, I've just had two bat/delta wings and my rocker arm covers
refinished in 1972-74 Mercedes Benz Byzantine Gold, doctored up with some
additional yellow tint to reduce the reddish tone somewhat. They were
clear-coated with a slightly matted topcoat to reduce the wet look. They
look fabulous and "correct". Paint specs and photos available on request.
