Anti-seize compound on all bolts and screws. I keep a pint can with brush in the cap handy. ALL bolts and screws get a dap and they always will come out, even exhaust bolts come loose easily. How about a felt/cork gasket between the hub and cap? Easy to cut out of sheet stock available at your auto parts store. Easy to find at retailers. Just keep it to a minimum so as not to encourage "bleed out" when hot and spinning. Not a good situation to end up with. Ed Jasinski San Mateo, CA Behalf Of Lindsey Fuller I am about to put my new club gears & medallions back onto the hubcaps. I hope to upgrade 2 of these if better ones become available. As I will want to preserve the new gears & emblems, any ideas what I could coat the cone part with before putting the gear & emblem on so as not to bond forever again? I have thought about a silicone spray, but thought there might be a risk of migrating out to the emblems & discolouring them. Any ideas appreciated.
