All: According to the Hi Performance Mopar article referenced a couple days ago ( _http://www.moparts.org/Tech/tech/pentastar.html_ (http://www.moparts.org/Tech/tech/pentastar.html) ) interview with the pentastar originator, Robert Stanley, quotes him "....absolutely no rationale for the five points". After that design was selected, they just called it a "pentastar" because Chrysler wanted some kind of a name for it. Pentastars were put only on the right front because they would be seen by more people there----including sidewalk traffic. Quite an interesting article, although a bit on the long side. At any rate, the pentastar signifies nothing except the Chrysler Corporation. 300ly, Gil Cunningham In a message dated 7/17/2010 2:51:53 P.M. I recall getting the newsletter / magazine from the other Chrysler 300 club this week. It had an interesting article about when the pentastar was first used and where to mount it on various Chrysler products in case customers who bought cars before the initial installation date (early 1963's for example) could get a free add on from the factory if the dealer placed just one bulk order for all the extra pentastars they expected to need.
