Another member has suggested to me that the factory build cards might not always accurately reflect the effects of special orders. And that cars could be pulled from the line to a special order area where additional equipment/trim might be added to satisfy a customer's or dealer's special order. Air conditioning was specifically mentioned. If true, this might explain differences between build ticket records and claims that "it came from the factory that way". Can anyone sustain or suppress this recollection of life on the line?
