For any of you interested in how this request turned out (we're talking about the fuel line from the pump to the forward carburetor) -------- Bob Porecca combed the internet for photos of 392 engines that showed fuel lines, and probably found a couple dozen at least. Some of you were kind enough to send me photos of your own engines and their fuel tubes. The interesting thing is that there were hardly two alike in all of these. Most of them had been modified with strangely configured tubes, inline gas filters, partial rubber hoses, and even complete replacements with rubber hose - far more iterations than could possibly have been done at the factory by Chrysler. The conclusion we came to, then, is that most of us have some incorrect version of the fuel line on our '57s and '58s. But working from those photos, and the factory 300 photos as well, I believe we have landed on what should be the correct configuration. Sorry, but I'm not familiar enough with any other years of 300s to comment on what might be correct for those. They may be the same, but I just don't know. Now the neat upshot is that it seems Marv Raguse appears to have a correct factory original on his C. Marv lives only 15 miles from Inline Tube and has offered to bring it over to them to copy. He's smarter than many of us, so he's off to Florida for February; but he says he'll be back in March and will take care of it then. Bottom line is that this might be a good time to contact Inline Tube and talk to Bob or Jamie D. to order one (at $25) for any of you who are looking to make an easy improvement under the hood of your C or D. Their number is 800.385.9452. If you want to see a photo of Marv's - the one we're going to go with - email me and I'll forward his photo to you. Thanks to all for the help.
