Ridge reamers are probably still sold by JC Whitney. However, my local machine shop requested that I never again ream off the top ridge of the cylinders since the reamers often do not remove the ridge uniformly. The benefit for the machine shop is that the top ridge centers their cylinder boring equipment to operate on the original center of the cylinder. The original center may be lost if the top ridge is not perfectly or uniformly removed. Would take care of the ridge without a boring job. Jim McGowan > Hello > I have finally received the engine for my F, it's a 413 that has > already been overbored 0.60.
