George and Mike, K's have that darn floating power steering bracket. The bolt holes in the bracket will get egg shaped and the bolt itself will develop a heck of wear groove over time. Usually from being overtightened. As a result the belt will not be in alignment. Additionally, the rubber bumper in the mount is most always missing and contributes a slight vibration and out of alignment condition. I think its just easier to take the bracket off to check things out. It'll be obvious if things are worn. The factory bolt is an odd sized shouldered thing. I made a bolt for mine and welded/redrilled the holes. Nowadays I thought list member Gary the Parts Doc has something he does to fix them. I just had the oil changed and it did not have any leaks on the transmission case. This is the third time it has happen when the car sits for a few days after I have driven it. I was wondering could it be leaking from the trans cable? I also have a problem with on of the belts. It squeals when I go over 40 mph. They seem to be tight. I did have the radiator over heat and maybe that is causing the squealing. Thanks for your help with my two concerns.
