Hello, We have a possibility of some national recognition and promotion of our Brutes and we hope to find an interested Club member(s) to participate. Member Ron Kurtz (our meet promoter specialist) just sent an email about this idea / plan: "Thoughts for a human interest story: although many stories have been written about the person and their collectable(s), I think a good angle would be a revelation of a lifetime commitment to the endeavor of preserving a slice of Americana - the love of the automobile and how it changed the way we live. A 1950s - 60s setting would be perfect with the Brutes being America's first muscle cars. My thinking is to pitch Steve Hartman of CBS, but I need to do it soon. There is no guarantee he will cover this story but it is worth a try. Are there any members willing to do this? Hartman's stories are usually very favorable. I have yet to see one that is negative." Ron will interview you and write the pitch. If Hartman accepts, he will interview member(s) directly for his story. No writing needed on your part. Ron will also provide coaching and a list of probable Q & As for you and, if necessary, coach you on interviewing before a camera. Ron also said he would use that same approach / story for the local Chattanooga press / media that he expects to interact with. Since there is a time constraint for a promotion like this we need to have a Club member(s) who meet the criteria and who will be willing to work with Ron. I know most members are often reluctant to talk about their own interests / achievements but besides personal recognition this will also be for the Club and for old car preservation. So, while a member may not want to nominate himself please feel free to nominate a candidate. If a meet host could be a candidate, that would be a plus. Depending on interest and how the story is developed it is possible that more than one member might be involved. Please send questions and suggestions to Ron. Thanks for your help and interest, Ron and Carlton [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
