Re: [Chrysler300] Dexron vs. type F

OK;
Starting with this email reply.
J D Jung wanted to post a question so he piggybacked on an active topic. This just screws it all up for him.
Many people who might have an answer for him may have just deleted his question since they are not interested in the topic in the subject line. So, he won't get some answers.
If you have a question or comment on something new, start a new subject by clicking on the link at the bottom of EVERY email going thru the Club listserver.
The one that says "to send a message" Click on it and type away.

OK, Now scroll down to the bottom and look at the Blue highlighted links. Who'da thought?

 Now, as to the subject line above, click on the link that says "For Archives go to:" When you drive at the archives there is a box. Type in the question and click on search.
This will take thou to everything that has passed thru the server relating to that question. Oh yea, it will not show things you were looking for if the reply was piggybacked, see above.

Here's a remark from 7/28/2009:
Don't remember if Dexron III/Mercon obsolescence has been mentioned here and if it has'nt, be aware the designation will soon disappear. GM licensing has been terminated.

  GM says, with appropriate level of weasel wording, that Dexron-VI is backwards compatible for GM applications specifying Dexron III. GM statement for sure does not apply in any way to any other vehicle manufacturers vehicles. Have not seen any mention that Type F will be taken out of production. Mercon comes Mercon III, Mercon IV, Mercon V and Mercon SP to name some and none of these are broad general, direct replacements for Mercon fluid or interchangeable BTW.

Finally, don't expect someone to "remove y0u from the list". Do it your self, actually just as fast as asking us to do it for you. Again, click on the link at the bottom of EVERY Club email.

Ray Jones... And add your name, the cryptic email address, while fascinating to you won't give the rest of us a clue as to who you are.

Is it only me but do you guys like the "shift kit" so popular with T-builders. You know the one which slams it into the next range! And even harder if you try to ease it up to the speed of the shift...bang! I hate it. Is it a short cut to the builder or of any benefit ?
