Re: [Chrysler300] Question About Dual Master Cylinder Conversion with Remote Booster?

Hi Warren,
Thanks for your thoughts in helping my mechanic and I solve this quandary. As you know, plumbing a dual master cylinder and proportioning valve is quite easy. The trick here is one of plumbing logistics with the existing AAJ front disc brake conversion. Due to the Ram K's remote booster, we have to contend with one feed tube supply and only one line going out of the OEM distribution block. It seems like the answer might be in splitting these in some way? Also, per your email, are you suggesting that we utilize a second remote brake booster as part of the solution?

Hoping that someone in the club has successfully integrated a dual master cylinder into a ram K car (with its remote brake booster... which is remote in the first place to clear the ram tubes). Appreciate any and all thoughts from members that have successfully contended with this issue in the past.

David,

Vehicles that have a split hydraulic system will have two brake booster units. If there is a single unit, 2 path, double circuit, booster out there, it will be very special and very rare IMO. Not available in that configuration as an OE application.

Dear Fellow 300 Enthusiasts,
My mechanic, and newest friend, has a plumbing question on my 300 K ram. Looking to speak with members that have first-hand experience in dual master cylinder conversions with remote boosters specific to the 300J and 300K.

If anyone has done/see this type of conversion, we'd very much love to speak with you!

300KL'y,

David A. Morrison
