Hi Club, Here is a link for the ad referenced in the below posts: http://tinyurl.com/93xqjgx There are dozens of high resolution photos. To me, they are fascinating because this car looks like it might have been restored once to a very high standards (at least parts of it do). The dash and instruments look way too nice to be originals. In one picture, the door panel has mold and rot but the power window switch looks absolutely brand new…not a hint of pitting or wear. Same with the dash pad and controls. They look like well restored bits. I think the trunk pad is one of Gary’s as well and not the original. The decals are also far too nice to be originals. I wonder if this car might have been in a terrible flood (Katrina/Ike, etc). I have never seen wear and use like I see in this car. The engine bay and lots of the interior seem to be moldy. No close ups but the bumpers and wheels seem perfect. The door wind lacing and rubber also seem too nice for original. Sad that restoring it would likely cost more than the car is worth. Maybe a fresh water flood? If moldy, the car would have to be completely disassembled by a shop that has disposal and mitigation equipment…not cheap. Any thoughts/opinions? Agree/disagree? Thanks! And incidentally, the name he goes by has changed at least once in the time we've been looking. The 300B might be fine, but I would recommend "buyer beware." I have ran a classic car show for 5 1/6 years. And been in the hobby for years and years. The word around the car guys in FL who have sold to him and got cars from him. Is not to great. So if you want it better go check a car from him out in person.
