Hello again K fans- Here are the details on the K coupe we recently found out about stored in east central Iowa. Dave & Les Schwandt were kind enough to travel through the cold winter rain and hike through the snow and mud to view the car. The only good news is that it is a new VIN for the club. The car itself gives new meaning to the term “Mr. Sad”, a name coined by our own Bob Merritt in reference to a K 4 spd he picked up awhile ago. This car is sadly, a far sadder example at least based on the initial inspection. Attached are the details about the car as noted by Les. Please contact the owner directly if you have any interest. The owner’s name is Terry and he can be reached at (319) 464-4249. His asking price is $2000, and he seems to not be very receptive to negotiation at this time. The car appears to be worth slightly more than its scrap value based on some good usable parts that could be salvaged. Here are some additional details: The car is poorly stored in a small shed near Dysart, Iowa. 413 non-ram original engine, Rosewood exterior, white vinyl interior, AM radio, power antenna, tinted glass, right side mirror, tilt wheel. No other options noted. Driver’s door cannot be opened sufficiently to read the data plate. We hope that someone can get it for a fair price before it sinks into the ground or winds up at the crusher. 300ly, Carl Bilter From: Les & Kim [mailto:smckl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Saturday, March 09, 2013 6:06 PM To: dadkw Subject: 300-K found by C Bilter Went and looked at 300-K in dysart Iowa today That Carl Bilter found on craigs list. 300-K Vin #8443-179447 Rosewood ext White Int Tilt wheel manual seats and windows am radio power ant rh mirror Car is inside rundown bulding sunk into dirt floor. all tires are flat so im sure axles and frame are in the dirt Hit on left side, windshield post damaged, along w/left door, fender, quarter ahead of wheel.
