dear ones......have to remove the vibration damper on my 63. Just finished over 2000 miles on a trip to NV CA OR and WA. Now the v/d is rubbing on the timing chain cover, the timing mark is waaaay wide of TDC and suspect it could fly off any minute. An 1 1/4 inch socket seems to be just a bit big. Could it really be a 1 3/16 socket which, of course, I do not have Also, how do you keep the crank from turning while trying to remove the big nut? Suppose one of you will tell me that it is completely covered in a Tech item on our web site. Thanks....
