Hi Mike,
I had a similar problem with my radio and it turned out that most of the
contacts in my fuse box were so corroded that the fuses were not making
contact. I also lost my rear tail lights.
I cleaned the terminals the best that I could, but I may need a new fuse
box, or at least new terminals. You may also want to take the cable
assembly plugs off at the fire wall to make sure you are getting good
contact at that interface. I have heard that smoke & melted wires have
happened near the firewall due to too much resistance in that area.
Was anyone in the club looking to get a source for new fuse boxes? Are the
terminals available, so they can be replaced using the existing fuse box?
Regards,
Mark Lindahl

Hi group,
I have a 300K Conv. and I heard a popping noise through the radio. When it
was popping it felt that the car was losing power. This did not happen all
the time. I went to a car show yesterday and it drove fine . I went out to
start the car today and it would not start as if the batter was dead. I
just replaced the batter last month. I think I have some kind of electrical
interniten problem. If you can give any ideas what I should be looking
for. Thanks Mike Litsky bigblue300k@xxxxxxxxx
