[Chrysler300] Re: Titles for cars

Here  in California it has become nearly impossible to title a car on just 
a Bill of  Sale.  The presumption is that you are a criminal, and you are 
treated  accordingly.  Went through this recently with a 1966 Dodge Coronet 
from out  of state that hadn't been on the road in thirty years, and all I had 
was a Bill  of Sale.  I had to hire a private "DMV Specialist" and post an 
expensive  bond against the possibility the vehicle might have been stolen 
(though its VIN  was clean in all 50 states).  As I recall, the whole mess 
cost me more than  $1,000 (not including taxes and other DMV fees).  Just 
another reason to  love California.
