Super Bell offers a bell housing for the 518, that you machine off the old A pattern housing and secure to the exposed front pump the B pattern housing.

I think the first problem with the A518 is that it is a small block trans, and the bell housing adapter conversion requires more talent than I possess. That said, I was wondering who had added an OD and how it went, especially with crossmember mounting, clearance and the pushbutton shift. I am pretty sure I will have to go to a rear disk brake with e-brake shoes.

Dan, It could be done both ways, I just do not know how to set up the push button system to the 518. I think the cost is what would stop most hobbiest from doing it, at this time. I have the crankshaft adapters, just need to tool up for the block to transmission spacer. Rick

I would like to put a gearvendors overdrive unit, or a Dodge 518 /616 / 47RH/ 47 RH overdrive transmission into my 300G. Has anyone attempted this. Anythoughts or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks! Dan[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
