I have a 66 C-Body and there are cables on the inside of the Top. Theree are also cables on the last support (that the rear window connects to) to limit it's forward movement when raising the Top. Not sure on the technical terms. You can get the inside cable from almost any convertible to specialist, the limiting cables and fittings I had to get off a parts car.Good luck, my car is getting a new top as I write this.
