That list, along with Gil's detailed article titled "Special Interior 300s" was published in News-Flite number 104 in March 2004. Edited by Eleanor Riehl.
All:
This car is in our list of special order (code 888) interior 300Fs that are
known. 16 still exist and one, a white coupe with red interior was
scrapped in Ann Arbor, MI in the 60's. It was a California car, if I
remember correctly, but, believe it or not, I, nor a couple other 300 nuts
failed to get its VIN! Of the of the 888 300Fs that exist,
black was the most common interior color with over half being that color.
The list of extant special order interior 300s was published in the newsletter,
but I have no idea what date.
300ly, Gil Cunningham
It is a real code 888 car. Keith Simons

Sounds like a code "888" special
interior color. Other colors were offered by special order and were
coded 888.

Hi, all, FYI!
This is a 300 coupe, black
with a black interior , including door panels; I do not have Gil’s email,
but wonder if he could run it....out of curiosity. never saw a black F
interior before—including door panels etc, and a bright white roof interior.
; metallic grey dash paint too. -----for sure all factory. How could they
make black door panels for only a very few cars ? Silver part is like a
normal 300.
I
like it actually...
It seems in 60, almost
anything went !!!!---- if you could get it ordered!
Ed told me you were doing
something with a black 300 coupe. Here are the pictures from when we moved the cars around.
Not sure on paperwork.
