Re: [Chrysler300] 300G stick ? J stick

The car being sold looks great, although as some are implying may not be what they say it is. My question is, the writer says it has a Short Long Ram, the high performance version. I thought that the Short Long Ram had the valley in the runners only half way to the Carbs, then smooth. The ones pictured have the valley in the runners what appears to be all the way to the Carbs, or so it seems. So they would be the Long Long Rams, lower performance, RPM, version, Correct, or not? Just curious.

Re. the J sticks, they were most definitely produced.  Chrysler Historical has a photo of one of the seven built; it was pictured in the Spring 1984 Club News.

I cannot answer the question about the clutch linkage.  If we could find a surviving example we could determine how the factory setup worked.   I have no factory documentation on the matter.

Back in the day, I helped George replace the transmission in his J so he could get home from Maine!  As far as a stick "J" is concerned, does anyone know how they hooked up the clutch linkage?   I was under the impression from George that there were no "J" sticks and no Ram "K" sticks due to the cast iron header interfering with the clutch linkage.  In remembering his car, the problem was obvious.
