I would love to see you take the exhaust manifolds off and torque the heads
on a big block in 15 minutes. Some of the bolts are under the manifolds. You
will also have to take the rocker shafts off to get at the others. Fel-Pro
gaskets do not require re-torque. I’ve done enough of these and have never blown
a head gasket on a big block. There are 17 head bolts on a big block and 10 on a
small block. Torqueing them in three steps is plenty.

I like to
re-torque heads, HOT. Drive enough to get up to operating temps and then
re-torque.
I
couldn't get this through to me son and after 2 blown head gaskets (while
dragging) he learned.
He got to
where he could do it in 15 minutes on his 340 'cuda.
I only
did this to engines that were used in abusive ways such as racing or long high
speed runs.
