RE: [Chrysler300] 55 transmission leakage

For years, my C300 has been leaking after parked for more than a few days.
My dad (the 40 year mechanic) said that is was the torque converter leaking
down. I had the trans pulled and diagnosed by a pro and he was convinced he
found two other leaks and even after my insistence he did not ship the
torque converter off to get sealed. Guess what?  -  SAME symptoms and he has
agreed to pull and repair for cost of parts only - but after Bentonville.

Anyone have any words of wisdom about trannie on a 55 loosing fluid when
sitting.  Just had to replace around a quart of fluid in our 55 convert.
Probably the torque converter draining?  Had it happen in a number of 60's
over the years but this is my first 55.  Sure less fluid than in the later
ones.

 

At least I had a pan under it to collect the mess.___

 

Appreciate any guidance.
