I spent a lot of time, effort and money to stop that puddle under our ’55 C-300 with about 85K miles on the clock. It was not the speedo cable or tranny insert and it was not the shift cable. It was torque converter leak down. I don’t know the specific parts but the wear was not immense. Proper new sleeves and seals stopped (most) of the problem. Still, I miss that messy Brute.
