You do have the '55 dash lever shifter? Yes? 1. Bad linkage or out of adjustment linkage (the neutral switch is a large "nut" looking switch like the brake light switch except the neutral switch is mechanical and the linkage pushes against the end) 2. Bad switch 3. Bad wiring this can also be due to improper hot wiring at the relay .Jack Jack Boyle (913) 544 4650 Enjoying the same C-300 since 1967 IMG_0623 small From: Jonathan Peabody [mailto:Jonathan.Peabody@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, May 29, 2015 9:35 PM To: Jack Boyle; Jonathan Peabody; 'Ron Waters'; Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: [Chrysler300] Batteries dead -shifting to transmissions That's definitely the case...know what the fix is and/or why it would need to be done? When I inherited the car it came with a push button that must be pushed in while turning the key to start the car. Not sure if there was an adjustment issue with the neutral safety switch or what. I was told the tranny had been gone through and there is evidence the trans has been out of the car...thoughts? It shifts fine by the way.
