Re: [Chrysler300]

I did same thing .. Cleaned and lubed door latches with "lubriplate" advised by third party that it was great stuff . Looked like great stuff . Years later latches all erratic --stuff was a white semisolid mess . Don't listen as much to third parties now that I am older. Had also noticed it was hard on my cars from factory..
Now I keep a small cartridge of name brand lithium front end grease made for a caulking gun type greaser with the end open , tooth pick ( big one ) in it . Use for everything . Lately into using 75w Mobil one rear axle fluid as my "oil" . Stays put 100% synthetic means it is not going down hill . As in running away or deteriorating . Great stuff .I put  In small plastic squeeze bottle . Stinks --but great stuff .
It is amazing how a drop of oil here and there  would have prevented 100's of small problems .. Pw , p seats, heater fans , latches , hinges ,speedo bushing at dash , tach , e brake cables  etc etc . Careful to lube now . They had no time  on the line

I have to agree, I used white lithium on door latches of a couple vehicles 10 or so years ago and found they became sticky and eventually wouldn't latch. I recall using marine grease (white) I had for outboard motors with success but don't want to recommend it further than to report no further problems.

That stuff gets hard as a rock , check your ( inoperable due to it ) door latches . Suspension grease is best I think now ., tough stuff stays grease .

I use white lithium grease in a spray can.  Available at most auto parts stores here in the states.
