Hi To All,Want to share my experience (Confessions) with my 300-F conv't front and back brake conversions (SS Brakes) that was done probably 15 years ago.The car stops much better than the original drums but it really is inadequate for a 6800 pound car.The front brakes are 1968 Mustang and the rear is 1988 Ford Turbo Thunderbird. The built in parking brake assembly in the rear brakes never worked right in 1988 and the same is true now with multiple tries at new calipers over the years. The mounting bracket for the rear brakes just failed and is inadequate. The left rear caliper just loosened.Had it fixed and had new pads put in the LR with keeping the damaged rotor for now.I must redo both the front and rear.I have decided on the Magnum Force/Wilwood Brake systems. The table below compare 3 systems FYI.

No Yes Yes The front kit is only distributed by Magnum Force (a Wilwood dealer) and they designed the bracket. The rear kit that we chose will need some modifications since it is for a 8 3/4” rear from 1963 on. My 1960 rear flanges have a different bolt pattern. The kits have been ordered and I will let you know how the projects works out over the next month to so.Tony
