I think all 300C’s are 8 ¾ axles, but there are different pinion stub diameters, but not during/ in 57? From memory,.  Seal for 8 ¾ should be right.

Good morning, 

 

To avoid the need to call out the HazMat team to follow me on my upcoming trip to the Elkhart Lake meet, I'm going to have to either put a diaper under my (C's) rear end, or plug a leak.

 

Carquest shows 2 different pinion seals for 1957 Chrysler - for 8-3/4 and 8-1/4 rings. Can someone please give me the original Chrysler part number, or perhaps the ring size? Carquest says the 8-1/4 takes a National 5126. I want to make sure they have the right one on hand when we schedule the repair so your help is appreciated.
