Burned or melted aluminum is due to stuck heat riser valve . It rusts shit sitting closed . Check that it is free . Ram cars when new had an almost characteristic rattling sound from those . Remember it from being stopped on mass pike . They had 62 wagons with Rams . Pull you over and headlights jumping up and down . Intimidated me ! Wow. Ram Chryslers with ~ 400 hp will do that when you have a y block ford or 283
