Hi Andy,

Just curious, did you count my G as one that you have driven without outside mirrors?

I still can’t believe it was brought into the dealer without, them, sold without them, then restored without them. What a PIA when driving in traffic.

My G has the red emergency brake light in the instrument cluster, but it does not flash.   The Hand-Brake Warning Signal was standard equipment, but flashing is not mentioned.

The Chrysler 300G sales brochure shows the "Remote-control outside rearview mirror" under "Optional Equipment (at extra cost)." The renderings of the 300G and the six previous 300's in the brochure do not show any with an outside rearview mirror.

Wasn't the Outside Drivers Mirror an Option ?
I have a 1961 Chrysler Prices and Equipment Brochure that a car salesman would use. It's tri-fold. When I open it up there is a full page of " OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES " . " MAUNFACTURER'S SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICES ".

ORDER CODE 
383 Mirror, Left Outside Remote Control 

MODEL AVAILABILITY ALL EXCEPT 830, 870 PRICE $18.00

On the back page it shows the " STANDARD EQUIPMENT" BY MODEL
A=NEWPORT
B=WINDSOR
C-NEW YORKER
D= 300G

ON THE LIST :
MIRROR, OUTSIDE REMOTE CONTROL " C".

According to this document the Mirror was only Standard Equipment on the New Yorker and Optional Equipment on all the others.

Another Item I see on the Standard Equipment list is :

HAND BRAKE FLASHER B, C, D 

I do remember my very first 300G, when I was 16, having a Flashing Hand Brake light. Does everyone else with a 300G have their hand brake light flashing ?
Hopefully later this year I will find out if my current 30G has a Flashing hand Brake light.
